about

One of The Wasps most well know tracks, recorded live at the Vortex club, London, in October 1977 and features as the opening track on the notorious "Live at The Vortex" album. It quickly became a punk classic. Their fast paced cover of "Waiting For My Man" also featured on the A side of this album

lyrics

You know it wasn't worth being alive in '75
You know I didn't get too many kicks in ‘76
But ’77 has changed all that for me for you
You can say what you wanna say
And do what you wanna do

Can't wait for ‘78
You know I can't wait to see what gives
You know I can't wait for ‘78
To see who dies to see who lives

Can't wait for ‘78
You know I can't wait to see what gives
You know I can't wait for ‘78
To see who dies to see who lives

Empty spaces boring places cricket scores
Soon gave rise to shaded eyes and schoolgirl whores
Now the mice have spoken for me for you
Now the ice has broken do what you wanna do

Can't wait for ‘78
You know I can't wait to see what gives
You know I can't wait for ‘78
To see who dies to see who lives

Can't wait for ‘78
You know I can't wait to see what gives
You know I can't wait for ‘78
To see who dies to see who lives

Can't wait for ‘78
You know I can't wait to see what gives
You know I can't wait for ‘78
To see who dies to see who lives

Can't wait for ‘78
You know I can't wait to see what gives
You know I can't wait for ‘78
To see who dies to see who lives
