about

Released in 1979 on RCA. "This Time" was the flip side to "Rubber Cars" 7" single which was the first single released by RCA of the newly signed Wasps. A great Power Pop Punk high energy number

lyrics

I've been waiting for the phone to ring
I've been waiting for a knock on the door
But I'm beginning to think you're not around no more
It took a long time to make up your mind but you meant it this time

I've been waiting for the phone to ring
I've been waiting for a knock on the door
But I'm beginning to think you're not around no more
It took a long time to make up your mind but you meant it this time

This time it's going to be bad
This time it's going to be sad
This time you must have decided this was no life and you just couldn't hide it
And a colour plate queen in a fashion magazine said hey girl you could be me

Well the band was playing and the stage was bright
And the conversation was sweet and hot
Hey girl you have come a long way since Emily and that day at the races

This time it's going to be bad
This time it's going to be sad
This time you must have decided this was no life and you just couldn't hide it
And a colour plate queen in a fashion magazine said hey girl you could be me

Well I've been waiting so long this time
Really has gone wrong this time
Not even a letter no no no no This time
No one on the t t t telephone this time
I never thought it would happen this time
Woo how it happened this time
